FOREST of Dean District Council has even more Conservative members after 21 councillors were elected to the authority from the party.
On a day when it was revealed the Conservative Party had earned a national majority, their district council counterparts in the Dean managed a similar feat.
They added two more seats to the 19 members elected in 2010.
Labour members lost three seats, and are now down to 13, while the number of Independent councillors was also reduced to six from ten.
UKIP increased their numbers to seven from a solitary councillor previously, while the Green party also had their first ever representative elected to the council.
