The daughter of Fred West has slammed an ITV drama about the serial killer's life between his arrest and suicide in prison.

Anne Marie Davis, whose mother and two half-sisters were murdered by her father, said that Appropriate Adult would bring back traumatic memories for his surviving victims and their families.

Dominic West, star of the international TV hit The Wire, will portray the Much Marcle-born killer in the programme, which will be shown on ITV in two 90-minute slots in the autumn.

Earlier this month Dominic was spotted at the Dean Heritage Centre buying a CD of Forest poet Dave Harvey in order to brush up his accent for his role.
