A CAR crashed into a house in Cinderford demolishing a corner pillar last Friday evening.
Police and fire crews were called out and a family had to evacuate the house as there was a risk of part of the building collapsing.
David Ruck, the homeowner, said: "I was just on my way back from work when this happened.
"My wife said the crash sounded like a massive explosion, she was quite shaken up."
A 52-year-old woman, the driver of the blue Suzuki Ignis, was treated for minor injuries to her hands.
Mr Ruck said: "Last night we were advised to leave the house because it wasn't deemed safe.
"We can't survive in a two-bedroom house, especially one that's dangerous to live in."
