THE SPATE of acid attacks in St Briavels has become a sinister campaign with reports of malicious communications being carried out.
As Gloucestershire Police hunt a woman, wearing a mask, who is believed to be one of the acid attackers terrorising a number of residents, it has emerged from investigations that sinister malicious communications have also been posted and hand delivered to several parishioners in the village.
Threatening and obscene notes and poems, and macabre anonymous phone calls have been received.
One of the phone calls made was to a local family home, and from a middle-aged man who used their Christian names, and asked after the daughter’s well-being.
He then implied serious harm would come to their children that would require them to need disabled equipment.
