A 72-year-old Westbury-on-Severn drink-driver has been banned from the roads for 14 months.

Jeremy Miller of May Barn, Grange Court, Westbury, pleaded guilty at Cheltenham Magistrates Court to driving a BMW 530 estate on the A48 at Chaxhill on 22nd July 2026 when he had 57mcgs of alcohol on his breath. The legal limit is 35mcgs.

He was disqualified from driving for 14 months and fined £143. He was also ordered to pay costs of £85 and a £57 surcharge.

Miller was told that if he completes an approved driving course at his own expense by 20th May next year his ban will be reduced by 14 weeks.
