A 45 year old West Midlands man who stalked a woman in Sedbury for almost three months has been banned from entering Gloucestershire while he awaits sentence.
At Cheltenham Magistrates Court David Wilkes of Harebell Crescent, Dudley, admitted stalking the woman between March 1 and May 25 this year.
The charge states that he sent her abusive messages, made an excessive number of phone calls to her and attended her home address causing her to fear, at least twice, that violence would be used against her. Wilkes’ behaviour caused the woman alarm and distress, the charge said.
The magistrates ordered a pre-sentence report on Wilkes and bailed him until 20th July.
Bail was granted on condition that he does not enter Gloucestershire, does not contact the woman or another named person, and lives and sleeps every night at his home address.
