A 50 year-old Sling man has been banned from driving for six months after he was caught speeding on Perrygrove Road, Coleford, in May last year.

At Cheltenham Magistrates’ Court on December 21 Adam Matthews of Orepool Inn, Chepstow Road, Sling, admitted driving a Citreon on the B4228 on May 15 in excess of 40mph.

He was fined £150 and ordered to pay £110 costs and a £34 surcharge.

The magistrates said the six months’ ban was ‘obligatory due to repeat offending.’

He was given until January 19 to pay the total of £294 due.
