Gloucestershire County Council is holding a drop-in event tomorrow in Cinderford to encourage Foresters to find out more about becoming a foster carer.

The event has been organised as part of this year's Foster Care Fortnight and is one of a series of drop-in events around the county.

It takes place between 10am-4pm at the Triangle in Cinderford town centre.

Paul McLain, cabinet member for children and young people for Gloucestershire County Council, said: "We already have a tremendous network of dedicated foster carers in Gloucestershire and many people have been carers for ten years or more.

"We always need more people who can make a long lasting positive difference to the life of a child to come forward. We are particularly appealing for carers for older children and teenagers."
