ROBERT Brown of Belle Vue Road, Cinderford pleaded guilty at Cheltenham Magistrates’ Court to driving when he had 106micrograms  of alcohol on his breath.

That was three times the 35 micrograms limit.

Brown was banned for 25 months for driving a Ford Fiesta on Stoke Road, Stoke Orchard, near Cheltenham, on October 20 while over the limit.

The magistrates sentenced him to a nine month community order with six months alcohol dependency treatment, and up to six days of rehabilitation activities.

He was fined £120 plus costs of £85 and a £48 victim services surcharge.

He was told he can reduce his ban by 25 weeks if he successfully completes an approved driving course at his own expense by April 15 2024.
