Llangattock-Vibon-Avel Ploughing Society’s vintage tractor road run on Sunday saw 32 entries for the crawl through the countryside, heading for the Halfway Inn at Talycoed for lunch.

Reg Moulton received the plaque for best turned out tractor with his David Brown, judged by Brian Edwards, President of the society and David ‘Joner’ Jones.

Among the enthusiasts was Tom Mason, who had just celebrated his 90th birthday and was unaware a special birthday cake was waiting for him at the lunch stop at the Halfway.

The club thanked David Davies for allowing them to meet on his ground.

Their main event for the year is the ploughing match which will be held on September 20 at Blue Door Farm, near Raglan.
