NOMINATIONS have opened for the 2026 Pride of Coleford Community Awards, with residents being encouraged to recognise the volunteers, groups and organisations making a positive difference across the parish.
The annual awards, organised by Coleford Town Council, celebrate people who selflessly give their time to support others and improve life in their communities.
The council is inviting nominations for individuals of all ages, community groups and voluntary organisations that have made a meaningful contribution during the past 12 months.
Eligible nominees must have supported the parish of Coleford, which covers Coleford town as well as Coalway, Broadwell, Mile End, Milkwall and Whitecroft.
The awards aim to highlight those whose dedication often goes unnoticed, while recognising the important role volunteers play in strengthening local communities and supporting residents.
Town council representatives are encouraging anyone who knows someone deserving of recognition to submit a nomination before the closing date.
They say the awards are an opportunity to thank the people who regularly go above and beyond, whether through community projects, fundraising, helping neighbours, organising local events or supporting charities and voluntary initiatives.
Residents are being reminded that nominations are not limited to individuals, with community groups and organisations also eligible if they have had a positive impact on the parish over the past year.
The Pride of Coleford awards have become an annual opportunity to celebrate local people whose commitment and generosity help make the area a better place to live.
Anyone wishing to put forward a nomination is encouraged to complete the official nomination process before entries close.
Nominations for the 2026 Pride of Coleford Community Awards will remain open until Wednesday, September 30, after which submissions will be considered ahead of this year's awards programme, recognising outstanding contributions from across the parish and celebrating those who make a lasting difference every day.
