A FUNDRAISING appeal has been launched to help a Cinderford woman facing a £5,700 veterinary bill after her puppy suffered serious injuries.

Sarah Gwynne’s three and a half month old dog, Stanley, broke both front legs after jumping from her lap at home. He was rushed to Wood Veterinary Group in Quedgeley and required surgery after fracturing two bones in each leg.

Stanley had been hand reared after his mother was unable to care for him. Although the family had been seeking insurance, he was not yet covered due to his age.

Sarah and her partner, who are both disabled, say the puppy has quickly become part of their family and they are devastated by the incident.
