THE organisers of Coleford’s Music Festival are rejoicing after obtaining an event licence to run for the next ten years.
Negotiations with Forest of Dean District Council and Gloucestershire Police have resulted in a new decade-long conditional licence being awarded, which will go a long way to securing the future of the event.
“Coleford Music Festival, which was revived last year, is a wonderful weekend of music, culture and family-friendly entertainment,” said festival organiser Amanda Smith.
“It is built upon the foundations of a community coming together to create an event which celebrates local talent and supports local businesses.
“But we still need to raise funds to keep the event free, pay for performers, workshops hire staging and equipment.”
Plans are well underway for this year’s Coleford Music Festival which will be held over two days in the town centre on July 16 and 17.
There are also opportunities for local businesses to sponsor the event and specially tailored sponsorship packages can be created to suit any local business.
If you would like to perform at the event or If you have an act or idea that you think would enrich or entertain then the organisers want to hear from you.
