TWO Code of Conduct complaints made against Lydney Town councillor Zac Arnold have been upheld by the district authority’s Group Manager Mrs Bhavna Patel.

Cllr Arnold has now been censured and ordered to undertake ‘equality and diversity training’.

A letter address to the ‘Town Clerk, Lydney Town Council’ says that, after Mrs Patel consulted with the Forest of Dean District’s ‘Independent Person’, they both concluded there was a prima facie case to answer.

The matter has been passed onto the Independent Investigator for Investigation who ‘concluded that there was a breach of the Lydney TC’s Member Code of Conduct and this culminated in a hearing before the Standards Panel’.

The letter does not say what the breach was about.
