A 38-year-old Cinderford woman has been jailed for more than seven months after assaulting another woman in the town last year.
Donna Price of Hopewell, Cinderford, pleaded guilty at Cheltenham Magistrates’ Court to assaulting Patricia Griffiths, causing her actual bodily harm, on April 21 2022.
The offence was committed in breach of a 12 week suspended jail sentence that had been imposed on Price for an offence of harassing a woman in Caerphilly, South Wales, in July and August 2020.
The magistrates sentenced Price to 24 weeks for the assault on Ms Griffiths and added five weeks from the suspended sentence to be served consecutively, making a total of 29 weeks.
They said immediate imprisonment was warranted because “the offence was aggravated by the defendant’s record of previous offending.”
The court also imposed a two year restraining order on Price.
She must not contact Ms Griffiths directly or indirectly or go to her address.
