A 31-year-old Cinderford man stole identical vacuum cleaners twice in three days from Asda in Gloucester, a court heard last week.

At Cheltenham Magistrates’ Court Danny Wallington of Ruspidge Road pleaded guilty to stealing a Tineco cordless hoover worth £139 from Asda on August 28 last year and doing the same again three days later.

He was conditionally discharged for two years, ordered to pay full compensation for each of the two cleaners, and further ordered to pay costs and a surcharge totalling £111.
