Anyone missing a loved one during the festive season is invited to join Forest of Dean Crematorium’s Christmas carol and memorial service for some comfort and company on Friday 5 December, from 6pm.

The service will include a live performance from a choir and is being streamed live online and can be viewed for several weeks after.

Forest of Dean Crematorium & Memorial Gardens is part of Westerleigh Group, one of the UK’s largest independent owners and operators of crematoria and cemeteries, with 42 sites in England, Scotland, and Wales. Manager Hannah Bane said: “Our Christmas service is open to anyone and everyone, regardless of whether you’ve ever attended a funeral here before or have a memorial to a loved one in our grounds.

“We know that during this time of year the loss of a loved one can be particularly poignant. Our service is a meaningful way to bring people together in leading up to Christmas and finding comfort in remembering their loved one in company with others.

”Those who wish to attend are being asked to secure their free place by emailing [email protected] or calling 01594 826624.Those who are unable to attend in person but who would like to watch the service online can watch it by visiting: https://christmas.obitus.com, and then inputting the user name ‘Forestofdean’ and the password ‘robin’.

The event will be available to see on the ‘watch again’ service using the same link and log-in details as above, for 28 days from Monday 8 December.
