THE Forest of Dean is rapidly running out of burial grounds, with all of the main cemeteries close to capacity.
The situation in Lydney is particularly worrying with the town's cemetery 'almost full'.
Yew Tree Brake Cemetery near Speech House will be full in an estimated three years, while Mile End Cemetery is predicted to be full in just 18 months.
Carol Harris, chair of Lydney Town Council's burial committee, says the problems in the town were foreseen around two years ago.
She said: "We're looking into what other sites are available."
