CAR parking charges are on the way for the Forest of Dean.

The Forest of Dean District Council' s Cabinet have agreed to bring in charging at their main car parks.

The controversial move is expected to raise at least £212,000 a year for council coffers.

Parking will cost between 40p for up to an hour and £2 for all day.

The charges will be imposed on council car parks in Coleford, Lydney, Cinderford, Newent, Mitcheldean and Redbrook.
