A TUG-of-war between two towns has begun over the future location of the Dean's college campus and leisure centre.
Residents from Berry Hill and Coleford have drawn battle lines to keep the Forest campus of Gloucestershire College from being moved to Steam Mills as part of Cinderford's regeneration plans.
The Forest's fighting spirit was evoked once again as more than 100 people packed into Berry Hill Rugby Club on Monday night.
Meeting chairman Phil Saunders, from West Dean Parish Council and Dean Forest Voice, said: "These are not just rumours, the Homes and Communities Agency has made clear comments about the redevelopment of the college site.
"We're not just talking about the college but also the future of the leisure club, theatre, primary school and Berry Hill Rugby Club."
