POPULAR Cinderford pub The Woodlands called time on Sunday.
The former manor on St White’s Road had been run by Sonya Liddiatt since 2011 - but closed its doors for the final time on June 27.
Ms Liddiatt thanked everyone for their support and custom over the last five years.
She said: “We’ve had an amazing time the last five years with you all, however The Woodlands will be closing its doors for the final time.”
Mikki Liddiatt, daughter of landlady Sonya, said the current economic outlook made it ’unfeasible’ to keep the pub open.
“When we came into the pub nearly five years ago there was already nearly 50 years of memories in the building,” Mikki said.
“Some of our greatest moments at the pub have been those shared with will the friends and family we have made within those bricks and mortar.
“Leaving was not a decision that was taken lightly, however with the current state of the economy it was not feasible to keep the doors open.
“We’d like to thank all of those who have passed through our doors in the last five years for there ongoing support and for the well wishes.”
