BROADWELL Reserves held league leaders Minsterworth to a 2-2 draw in one of only three Premier Division matches played this week.

It's the first points unbeaten Minsterworth have dropped this season.

Scott Burrows fired Broadwell into a shock lead, but Steve Badham levelled before the break.

It remained even in the second-half, with Dean Goddard scoring for the hosts and Liam Marley getting Broadwell's equaliser. Marley converted a Gavin Russell cross 10 minutes from time to earn his side a point.

Rob Smith had an excellent game for Broadwell, while Chris Powell was outstanding in central midfield.

At the back, Broadwell's defence of Delaney, Lewis, Griffiths and Jones worked tirelessly.

The game was end to end, with both sides contributing plenty.

Broadwell manager Powell said: "This was a hard contested game with neither side giving an inch, spoilt by a referee who felt he was the centre of attention on the day, instead of the players."

Ruardean Hill Rangers won 3-2 at Lydney Town Reserves.

Sub Dave Frowen provided Hill with an advantage at the break, scoring with his first touch. Simon Harris made it 2-0, but Lydney subs Dan Millin and Tom Bynon set up a rousing finish.

Millin poked in a Luke Clarke free-kick to cut the deficit.

Two minutes from time, Declan Morley-Lyne's shot slipped under the Rangers keeper and Bynon added the close range finish.

Morley-Lyne was sent off in the last minute for retaliation, after being fouled.

In added time, Hill created one more chance and Nick Jayne side-footed the winner from eight yards out.

English Bicknor raced into a 3-0 lead against Tidenham, courtesy of Tom Phillips, Rob Gwilliam and Anthony Philpotts.

They were hanging on at the end, however, as Tidenham cut the deficit to 3-2 with efforts from Rob Morley and Mark Murray.

In Division One, Sedbury United drew 1-1 with Whitecroft.

Dave Bushell scored first for Sedbury, but Whitecroft rescued a point with a second-half equaliser from Kevin Robinson.

Bream saw off Redbrook Rovers by 5-2.

St Briavels returned to winning ways in Division Four with a 4-0 success over Staunton & Corse Reserves.

Peter Meredith netted the only goal of the first-half, with Ashley Edwards and Andy Batcock (2) rounding off a good afternoon's work for the Saints.

Weston Athletic proved far too good for Tidenham Reserves in Division Three.

Weston won 7-1 with a Paul Wooding hat-trick, plus further strikes from Liam Parry, Paul Burnham, Luke Beard and Adrian Robertshaw.

Tidenham went in front through Craig Hanson.

Chepstow Rifles overcame Hardwicke A 3-0 in Division Four with a Wayne Farington brace and a Pat Barrett goal.

Chris Townsend bagged an incredible six-timer as United Longhope thrashed St Briavels Reserves 9-1.

Wayne Clark, Gerry Brobyn and Jimmy Woodward were also on target for Longhope, with John Sandford hitting a consolation for the away side.

Ruardean United drew 2-2 with Sling United Reserves.

This was Sling's first point of the season. All of the goals came in the second period with Greg Rutsch netting both goals for Sling and Alan Williams notching a double for Ruardean.

Littledean lost 4-1 at home to Puma A. Littledean's goal-getter was Dan Gwilliam.
