OUR Government is intent on generating energy from nuclear plants despite the dangers.

The idea of a new bigger plant at Oldbury is just not acceptable.

Previously there were increased cases of childhood leukaemia's when the old plant was there. Also Oldbury Yacht Club lost a lot of members to cancer at the same time.

The new plant would be much bigger and insufficient consideration has been given to the nature of the land there. It is low lying and with climate change making flooding more likely there are insufficient defenCes to prevent flooding.

A nuclear power plant at Oldbury is too close to the heavily populated areas of Gloucester, Newport and Bristol as well as the Forest of Dean. Evacuation in emergencies would be impossible. Other countries are stopping or even decommissioning their nuclear power plants. Why are we increasing ours?
