BACK in the summer, Dave Cantwell rescued a teenager from a swimming pool after the boy suffered a heart attack.

Last month, have-a-go hero Dave helped save the life of a pensioner, who collapsed while playing badminton.

The 22-year-old leisure centre worker from Cinderford has now been given an award for his amazing life-saving exploits by the Local Authority.

Steve Davies, son of the 69-year-old pensioner resuscitated by Dave, believes his father would not be around for Christmas but for Dave's quick actions.
