LYDNEY Town Council has been given a clean bill of health after auditors examined its accounts following claims of irregularity.
At Monday's meeting members were told that concerns about the finances of the council had been submitted by a member of the public, who it appeared had a working knowledge of how councils work, to the external auditor.
She added: "The auditors have again confirmed that the Town Council adheres to best practice and that no issues have arisen that require reporting.
