THE former Forest boyfriend of tragic songstress Amy Winehouse said a final goodbye to his "mermaid" this week.

Alex Haines was one of the few people invited to the Back to Black star's funeral on Tuesday.

Just over two years ago Amy's parents told the world how they hoped Alex, who was brought up in Aylburton, would be the one to save their daughter.
