The occupation of the Wilderness Centre by environmental activists came to an abrupt end when bailiffs came crashing through the door.
Their rude awakening came at around 6am yesterday when bailiffs, council contractors and around 40 police offices descended on the centre above Mitcheldean.
Despite the initial shock, the activists said their eviction was a peaceful one with their main concern lying with the crops they had planted and six chickens they had brought to the site.
