POLICE are appealing for information after a sign displaying the Turkish flag was vandalised in Newent.

The sign on Church Street was vandalised with an offensive and a crude image was stuck over the top of it.

The sign requires being replaced.

It is believed to have happened between 9am and 6pm on May 6.

Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101 quoting incident 116 of 7 May.
