Home Office inspectors along with Gloucestershire Police arrested three men from Albania, at Cross Hands, Lydney, on November 22 and another three from Coleford 5 Star Car Wash.
The men were found to have no right to work in the UK, having entered the country illegally and have been transferred to immigration detention pending removal from the UK.
Officers visited Cross Hands car wash and found that an Iranian and a Syrian man, both 26, were found to have outstanding immigration applications which do not entitle them to work in the UK.
They were escorted from the premises and ordered to report to the Home Office regularly while their cases are progressed.
That same day, officers arrested the three Albanian men at Coleford 5 Star Car Wash at Lower Lane Service Station, Coleford.
Two of the men, aged 19 and 27, had entered the country illegally. They are currently in police custody being interviewed by immigration officers.
A 21-year-old man was also found to have no right to reside in the UK. He has been transferred to immigration detention pending removal from the country.
The car wash owners have been served with a notice warning that a financial penalty of up to £20,000 per illegal worker found.
A Home Office spokesman said: “Immigration Enforcement officers across the country have supported the police-led Operation Trivium, including undertaking joint enforcement visits.”
Management at both garages declined to comment.
