A 21-year-old Lydney man who admitted offences including threatening another man with a knife has been remanded in custody to await sentence.

Appearing at Gloucester Crown Court via video link from prison, James Hawkins of High Street, Lydney, pleaded guilty to threatening Michael Dodwell with a knife in Hopes Close on October 17, 2014.

He also admitted damaging a snooker cue, light fitting, floor tiles and a garden bench belonging to Matthew Pillinger on October 4, 2014.

And he pleaded guilty to having a knife in public in Forest Road, Bream on October 10 last year.

On a separate charge sheet Hawkins further admitted possessing a knife in Lydney on May 3 this year.

He denied charges of destroying a front window belonging to Charmaine Davis and Jacee Fulford and common assault on Charmaine Davis.

Prosecutor Julian Kesner said it was likely no evidence would be offered on these charges that Hawkins denied, but he needed to check that position.

Judge Jamie Tabor QC remanded Hawkins till September 17 and said he would be sentenced that day if the not guilty pleas are deemed acceptable to the Crown.
