THE family of a woman who passed away in a two-vehicle collision on a Forest road last week have described her as "the life and soul of the party".

Mother-of-two Terri-Ann Marshall, aged 36, died at the scene of the crash which happened on the B4228 near Sling last Friday (January 28).

Three people have since been arrested, including two on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving, with two further arrests made on suspicion of perverting the course of justice.

Police were called shortly after 5.15pm with a report of a collision between a red Mini and a blue Ford Fiesta near The Orepool Inn.

Emergency services attended and Terri-Ann, who was driving the Mini, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Her family described her as "a larger than life character who lit up the room wherever she went”.

In a statement, they said: "It is with great sadness that we announce our beautiful daughter Terri-Ann was tragically taken from us on Friday 28 January 2022.

"Terri was a devoted mum to her two beautiful girls, a cherished daughter of Helen and Ian, much loved sister to Lou and Kate, and loving partner of Will.

"Anyone who knew Terri knows that she was a larger than life character who lit up the room wherever she went. She was the life and soul of the party.

"Thank you to everyone who has reached out with messages of condolences and support. We are absolutely heartbroken."

A spokeswoman for Gloucestershire Constabulary said: "Our thoughts are with Terri’s family and friends at this difficult time."

The driver of the Fiesta was taken to hospital following the crash, where he remained on Saturday (January 29), with "serious injuries".

Road closures were in place between Sling and the B4231 Bream Avenue overnight on Friday while police carried out an investigation.

And on Saturday, three arrests were made in connection with the incident.

Officers are now appealing for any witnesses who saw either the blue Ford Fiesta or a silver Volkswagen Golf driving between Coleford and Sling prior to the collision.

They also asking for anyone with dashcam footage of either vehicle to come forward.

A statement from Gloucestershire Constabulary on Saturday (January 29) said: "Two people have been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving, and one of them has also been arrested on suspicion of perverting the course of justice.

"A third person attended a police station this evening and was arrested on suspicion of perverting the course of justice.

"They all remain in police custody."
