A TEENAGE boy was attacked and had a knife held to his throat during a violent street robbery in Cinderford on Monday afternoon.

Police in the Forest of Dean are appealing for witnesses to the incident which happened at around 4.40pm on Monday, November 13.

The teenager told police that he was grabbed from behind and pushed to the floor whilst walking near Edge Hills Close, but wasn’t hurt in the incident.

It’s believed that the offender put a knife to the victim’s throat before stealing his Samsung mobile phone and ran off towards the direction of the Fern Ticket pub.

The male offender was wearing a dark hooded top with grey tracksuit bottoms and red trainers; he was of strong build and had a black scarf covering the bottom half of his face.

Any witnesses are asked to call 101 or email [email protected] quoting incident number 359 of November 13.• Police officers have arrested a 24-year-old man from Cinderford on Wednesday, November 15 on suspicion of robbery. He remains in custody at this time.
