POLICE officers investigating two collisions in Cinderford and Littledean are appealing for witnesses after a hit-and-run last week.
The first happened on Belle Vue Road at around 6pm on Thursday February 11. A green Renault Megane Scenic collided with a blue Nissan Micra travelling in the opposite direction. The female driver sustained a minor back injury and her eight-year-old son also in the car was uninjured.
The Renault failed to stop and it then collided again with a grey Citroen Berlingo parked on New Road in Littledean around ten minutes later, causing significant damage.
The Renault was later found in Littledean and the male driver had already been taken to hospital. Officers are waiting for the results of a blood test to establish whether the driver was over the drink drive limit. No arrests have taken place at this time.
Anyone who witnessed either incident or the Renault driving in the area at the time is asked to call police on 101 quoting incident 416 of Thursday February 11.
