A 67-year-old man was allegedly assaulted while walking on a footpath in Yorkley last week.

The man told police he was walking on a footpath which goes through the Yorkley Court Farm area when a man approached him, grabbed him and dragged him to a container where he was thrown to the floor and punched between 12pm and 1pm on March 23.

The victim suffered no injuries in the incident.

Enquiries are ongoing in connection with the case.
