Southern League
Cinderford Town 1
Mangotsfield Utd 3
MANGOTSFIELD made it 10 away wins in a row at The Causeway on Saturday, although the hosts were far from a pushover.
Lewis Sommers went close with a 10th minute header, while Leon Jeanne was a constant threat to the Mangotsfield defence with his trickery and pace.
Cinderford took the lead in the ninth minute when Peter Macklin superbly drove home a partially cleared Jeanne cross.
Sam O'Sullivan, making his Mangotsfield debut after transferring from Cinderford, should have scored for the visitors, but blazed wide when well placed.
At the other end, McCootie had a shot deflected wide, while Jeanne's appeal for a penalty fell on deaf ears, even though he had clearly been fouled by Arndale.
In the second half O'Sullivan – who had a fine match for the visitors – headed a Baker corner wide as Mangotsfield raised their game.
The equaliser came on 62 minutes through Groves.
The momentum of the match swung towards Mangotsfield on 78 minutes when Lewis Sommers was sent off for a deliberate handball and Arndale slotted the resulting penalty.
Two minutes later, Karim Rendall turned in the rebound after a Geraint Bater effort came back off the bar.
