MY thanks to Lee Hines [letters page, November 20] for the letter ‘No Need for New Council Offices’.
I REFER to Mr Parry-Hearn’s letter in your column of November 20.
I READ with absolute dismay that there may have to be a public inquiry into the proposed Asda plans in Cinderford.
I REFER to The Forester’s coverage in last week’s editon, November 13 about the Forest of Dean District Council’s decision to overturn its vote in favour of a Sainsbury’s store for Lydney.
Following the report in this week's Forester, and before it gets further out of hand, may I please have the opportunity of putting the record straight on the so called desecration of the war memorial at Forest Church?
I am deeply concerned about the dangerous situation that exists at the railway crossing at Lydney station.
Sir Ray Tindle
