A 43-year-old Cinderford man who drove without insurance has been ordered to pay £1,104 in fines, costs and surcharges.

Magistrates at Cheltenham also endorsed Gheorghe Ciubotaru’s driving licence with eight penalty points after he was convicted of driving a VW Index on the A417 at Gloucester without third party insurance on July 4 2023.

Ciubotaru, of High Street, Cinderford, was fined £660 plus costs of £90 and a victim services surcharge of £264.
