Miracle escape from plane crash

Thursday, 02 August 2012

Couple walk away from burning plane

TWO people miraculously escaped from the burning wreckage of a light aircraft which crashed near Coleford.

The 51-year-old man who was flying the plane and his 49-year-old female passenger were coming in to land at Spence Airfield but the light aircraft overshot the runway, crashed through a hedge and flipped onto its roof.

The dazed pair managed to climb free of the wreckage before it was totally engulfed in flames.
