FORMER Heywood pupil Ricky Enfield has denied murdering his friend Sean Hook.

The 34-year-old pleaded not guilty to murdering dad-of-three Sean during a plea and case management hearing at Bristol Crown Court on Tuesday.

He is accused of murdering 27-year-old Sean at a house in Woodgate Road, Mile End, Coleford, on February 10. He is also charged with assaulting Sean on February 9.

The trial date has been set for July 9 and is expected to last a week.

Enfield, who is originally from Cinderford but was living at Queensway, Broadwell, at the time of the alleged offences, appeared in court for the hearing. He was remanded in custody until the trial.
